Most of the time Veterinary Assistants are thought to be "technicians" because they do many of the same jobs. Our assistants work closely with the doctors all day long to make sure that each animal gets the best care possible. Assistants do everything from helping hold an animal on the exam table for vaccines, assisting the doctors and technicians in surgery, filling prescriptions, entering data into your pets history, cleaning each exam room between patients, and so much more. This group of people certainly has the broadest description at the clinic. They receive on the job training and in most cases have come to our clinic with some previous experience already.
